Edward A. O'Donnell, AIA Vice President
As Vice President for O’Donnell Dannwolf + Partners, Edward O’Donnell is responsible for project operations as well as the firm’s financial and administrative management. Over the last 25 years, Mr. O’Donnell has delivered projects including commercial, industrial, retail, manufacturing, medical, technical and airport specialty space in the South Florida real estate market as a lead construction manager.
Prior to founding ODP, Mr. O’Donnell was Senior Project Manager for the Tower Group, General Contractors where he oversaw the construction of multiple projects including the United Parcel Service, Latin Americas Hub at Miami International Airport and the 330,000 Square Foot Dole Corporation Processing Plant in West Dade. Mr. O’Donnell was responsible for total project operations, his expertise includes a variety of construction methods including conventional concrete and block construction, multi-story construction, tilt-up concrete construction, structural steel/curtain-wall construction and various interior finish methods.
Mr. O’Donnell was also previously employed by Codina Construction Corporation, where he served in Estimation as well as Project Management positions. As an estimator, Mr. O’Donnell’s responsibilities included theoretical budgeting; bid analysis, creation and issuance; subcontractor bid analysis; value engineering and cost benefit / life cycle analysis.
Mr. O’Donnell is responsible for the firm’s contractual issues, operations scheduling, preconstruction services, estimates and budgets, technical detailing and specifying. He is a State Certified General Contractor as well as a Registered Architect. Mr. O’Donnell attained a Master’s in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and is a graduate of Pratt Institute, School of Architecture. He has completed an OSHA 10 Hour safety certification. Mr. O’Donnell held Adjunct Professor position teaching Graduate Level Professional Practice at Florida Atlantic University, School of Architecture, in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Currently Mr. O’Donnell serves on the Planning & Development Board for the City of Hollywood.
